Wow, a whole year has passed since I last wrote my one year summary, time sure pass quickly!
In my last summary I kind of predicted that 2012 would be a crazy year, and it sure didn't disappoint.
At the end of March I took the huge step and moved to Tokyo for starting my studies at a language school. It was so many mixed emotions, but having a lot of friends already living there made me feel at home that much faster. I made friends at school even before school had started and the weekend before school started I joined a hanami, met even more people and amongst those my current boyfriend.
Ah yeah, boyfriend. I hadn't planned at all to get one since I have never really considered myself girlfriend material, but as fate had it I fell head over heels over a, at least for me at that time, kinda unlikely guy. Some parts of me really think it WAS fate that made us meet since he had no connection to that hanami what so ever except that his friend wanted to bring him along. Then the friend backed out but he still showed up, and I am so very glad he did. We just celebrated 8 months together, I have never been happier with any other person and I just know there are many more wonderful years to come.
Ah well, back to my studies. It all started out really well and I finished the A-class without any problems. Then came B-class and BANG, all my motivation for studying just disappeared. I wasn't feeling so good at that time, I had a lot of stupid thoughts running through my head, I couldn't really concentrate at all, and in the end gave up completely. In other words, I had to take the class again. But at that time I had straighten out my thoughts and there was no hesitation or doubts left, I gave it all I could and finished of the class as 3rd best in my class, which for me is a huge thing since I hate studying. So after christmas I'll start the D-class which is the beginning of the intermediate level. I'm really scared because I know this one is gonna be super tough, but I'll continue to do my very best and hopefully I'll pass.
But you can't study all the time, so I've done some traveling as well.
During golden week me and my boyfriend went to Kyoto and Osaka for 4 lovely days, and after that we've been pretty much all over Tokyo doing various things. And during summer vacation the two of us and my friend from Sweden went to Mt Takao for some climbing, it was a lot of fun. And in november we went to Nikko to see the beautiful autumn leafs, it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.
Sadly I was sick over christmas so I didn't really get to experience the typical japanese one, but I still spent two really nice days at home with my sweet man.
Well tomorrow is the last day of 2012 and I can not imagine how the year could've been any better. I've experienced so much during this year and it gave me the greatest gift ever, the feeling of loving someone and being loved in return.
I hope 2013 have a lot in store for me, and hey I'll even come to visit Sweden between the 22nd of March-7th of April!
